Publication support program
The centre runs a 3-stage program to assist academic staff, research students and alumni to publish for a broad non-specialist audience.
- Writing for readers: preparing for publication beyond the academy.
Writing for readers provides a general overview of the publishing industry and writing for a general audience. Applications close Friday 22 August 2008.
- Preparing for publication: developing your writing for commercial publication. Participants will be given the opportunity to develop a project with industry experts.
- Manuscript Sponsorship. Outstanding publishing projects may be invited to apply to receive sponsorship, which could include a mentorship, editorial or financial support.
Over 300 staff, research students and alumni have participated in this program since 2005. Since mid-2006, the centre has offered 21 sponsorships to staff and PhD students from across the university.
